Following my theme of boxes, I decided to build a hope chest for my now wife as a surprise wedding gift. It took me a year to build and was the reason why I began my journey of fine woodworking. Somehow I kept it a secret until the reception.
Made from Knotty Alder and Purple Heart, which was painstakingly cut with a very old scroll saw and inlaid into the chest to capture her initials and our wedding date.
